Temporality of agency in regional development

The temporality of agency plays a fundamental role in regional development but has received little attention economic geography and studies. This paper zooms on two aspects temporality: the intentions consequences. former refers to actors’ perception valuation opportunities near distant future, whereas latter short- long-term consequences actions. studies context development. It investigates how motivate different types agency, affect outcomes which conditions enable or constrain agency. We illustrate our arguments with an in-depth case study covering labour market Norway over last 20 years.
